On Saturday November 28 the public is invited to a special art reception to help celebrate the holidays in Old Town Monrovia.
Featured artist will be Dino Rasmussen who will be showing his “Mostly Christmas” collection.
Other participating artists include photography by Stephen Coleman , Doug Gordon, Frank Zgonc, Bill Johnson and Terry Miller; Heather Shaw and Sal Perez (Ceramics);Janice Kuhm; Tyger Jymmy ( Mixed Media); Rick Hess and Henry Olivas ( Acrylics); and Karen B. Locke ( Pen and Ink Wash)
Billy Hyatt (Metal Sculpture)
One of the late additions to the reception’s line up is Beacon Media’s photographer Terry Miller who’ll be showing a few shots of Bono from the historic, sold out U2 concert at the Rose Bowl last month.

That concert broke all records not only for the Bowl but for the band itself. It was the largest concert ever and also was fed live via YouTube. Also a couple of Black Eyed Peas will be thrown in for good measure since they are local lads.
This is an opportunity to not only meet local artists but purchase local art by same and support MAFA (Monrovia Fine Arts Association) at the same time. There will be a silent auction and a raffle to benefit MAFA as well as some local schools. There will be music featuring Tony Millot and the sound of the “Rat Pack”
