Earthquake Rattles Nerves in San Gabriel Valley

  A magnitude-5.9 earthquake was felt in Los Angeles late Wednesday afternoon just before 5pm. The quake struck at 4:53 p.m. The epicenter was located about 13 miles north-northwest of Borrego Springs and 25 miles southwest of Indio. Early reports indicate the quake was felt from San Diego to Los Angeles and in Riverside counties.
